Buttercream Icing

Ingredients

1/2 cup (125grams) Butter
1/2 cup kremelta (melt and let frim slightly)
3 tablespoons milk
450 grams sieved icing sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
1/8 teaspoon salt

Method

Cream butter and kremelta, add salt and vanilla. Add icing sugar (approx 4 cups) 1cup at a time beating well after each addition. Scrape sides and bottom of bowl fequently with spatula. Add milk and beat at high speed until light and fluffy.
Take a portion and colour as desired.
This recipe is sufficient for one average sized cake.
Any left over can be frozen.
Thaw at room temperature and rebeat as necessary.

Tip

Kremelta is usually found in the oil isle at the supermarket.
